ShieldPro started in 2010 with a simple premise: Johannesburg homeowners deserved a security installations company that manufactured its own products, used its own installers, and stood behind its work with a real guarantee.
Fourteen years and 2,400+ installations later, the approach hasn’t changed. Our fabrication workshop is in Johannesburg. Our installers are full-time ShieldPro employees. Every installation is SANS-compliant, and the certificate is issued before we leave the property.
We’ve grown steadily by referral. Clients who used us for burglar bars came back for electric fencing. Clients who came for gates came back for garage doors. We’ve never changed the fundamentals: measure accurately, fabricate properly, install cleanly, certify completely.
We manufacture in-house
Our Johannesburg workshop fabricates every burglar bar, gate, carport, and palisade fence we install. No outsourced fabrication. No imported products. Custom-made to your exact measurements every time.
Our own installers
Every person who comes to your property is a full-time ShieldPro employee. Not a day-worker hired for the job. Not a subcontractor we’ve never met. Our own people, trained our way, accountable to us.
Compliance is non-negotiable
We’ve never installed fixed bars on a habitable room regardless of what a client requests. We don’t skip SANS signage on electric fencing. We don’t omit obstacle detection on automated gates. Compliance isn’t a selling point — it’s the minimum.

Our SANS-compliant certificates are accepted by Santam, OUTsurance, Discovery Insure, Hollard, MiWay, and all major South African insurers. If your insurer has a specific additional requirement, let us know at the site visit and we’ll accommodate it.
